If a URL is redirected only, it will not be removed from the sitemap index.
In this case, you may need to set it to noindex in your WordPress dashboard or completely remove/delete the page.
Regarding the page it redirects to, it should be indexable and a URL from your site (not an external link).
If it’s not showing, then you may check this guide for the common reason why a URL is not included in your sitemap:
