Rank Math on two languages

    Rank Math free

    Please can you tell me:
I have main WordPress website on main domain. I have also English version of website in subdirectory /en with second WordPress instalation. How to edit canonical tags and how to define settings in Rank Math?
GSC recognized the subdirectory with the English version by itself. However, the problem is with indexing. The English version has its own RM installation. Now it happens that from the main version of the website, Google tries to index the subdomain with the English installation as well (although that version has its own sitemap in which 9 pages are indexed).
    What to do?
    Regards
    Nelson

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support and we apologize for the inconvenience.

If you have separate installations for the two languages, then both sites would be indexed on Google, you can submit the main and /en/ sitemap to GSC – assuming you are using one property to manage both installations (which is possible).

Regarding Google trying to index /en/ pages in your main site, this is normal since the /en/ directory is technically a part of the main site. I don’t see any issue that might arise because of this. Is there a problem you have noticed with this?

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Looking forward to hearing back from you.
