  • Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    We have checked your website using the site: operator and discovered that only the homepage is showing up in Google search result page as shown in the image below:

    On further check, we discovered that some pages (like the about and contact page) not appearing in Google search results are set to ‘index’.

    Upon further check, we however discovered that the sitemap is generating an error 404 page. While the sitemap is not the only avenue for Google to discover your website URLs, its important to resolve this issue as well.

    Please follow the steps below to update the sitemap and fix this issue:

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    3. If the above steps don’t seem to work, kindly apply the following filter to your site.

    add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

    Here’s how you can add filter/hook to your WordPress site:

    Going back to the “Excluded by noindex tag” you mentioned, it is a report that shows you which pages on your website are marked with the noindex tag. The noindex tag tells Google not to index a certain page on your website. This can be useful if you have a page that you don’t want people to find in search results, such as blank posts or tags.

    The “excluded by noindex tag” status means that Google has found a noindex tag on your page. This could be due to a number of reasons:
    1. You might have accidentally added a noindex tag to your page.
    2. You might have accidentally checked the discourage search engine option in WordPress settings.
    3. A site plugin or script might add a noindex tag to your pages.

    Please follow the steps in this guide to fix the “Excluded by NoIndex Tag” Status:

    Hope this helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.
