As I said, we’re looking to migrate from Yoast. I wanted to ask about RankMath’s capacity to handle hreflangs.
We have an issue on our site where hreflangs are not self-referencing. They, instead, canonicalize to another URL. I am attaching a link to a SC.
Does RankMath allow hreflang setup without using another plugin? We’re also using Gtranslate, and that might be causing problems.

Thank you for your patience.
The hreflang tag is managed by a translation plugin you are using, and Rank Math could not generate it on your site.
We can see that the website has self-referencing canonical on the pages and also includes the alternate tag to reference all the other languages on this page is available.
Also, this setup shouldn’t cause any issues with Google:
https://developers.google.com/search/blog/2010/09/unifying-content-under-multilingual#in-the-canonical-url,-specify-the-various-language-versions-via-the-rel=alternate-link-tag,-using-its-hreflangattribute.
If you are not using a translation plugin or not going to use one, then you may need to use a different plugin that specifically addresses this like Hreflang Manager.
