    Hi,

Since switching to Rankmath from Yoast at hamiltone.co.uk Google Search Console produces the error ‘Either “offers”, “review”, or “aggregateRating” should be specified’. I followed your advice https://rankmath.com/kb/either-offers-review-or-aggregaterating-should-be-specified/ but the Remove Snippet Data switch in Product Catagories was On by deault. I tried setting this switch to Off and cleared all cache and then I turned the switch On again and repeated clearing all cache but it made no difference. What do we do next please?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

After enabling/switching on the Remove Snippet data option, you should save the changes and clear your cache. You don’t need to disable/switch off the option again.

Once done, revalidate the issue in your Google Search Console account, and give Google some time to recrawl your site.

    Reval

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Thank you Reinelle. I will try this. Does this problem only occur when nothing has been reviewed on the website? If that is the case then how many reviews do there have to be to get rid of this problem?

    Hi Reinelle,

I have just seen this page https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/156417642/%E2%80%9Ceither-%E2%80%9Coffers%E2%80%9D-%E2%80%9Creview%E2%80%9D-or-%E2%80%9Caggregaterating%E2%80%9D-should-be-specified%E2%80%9D?hl=en

I have the same problem as Digimarketing (Original Poster) who says “we are not quite sure how to move on from here (note that the shop has more than 4.000 products, so getting reviews on all the products is a huge and almost impossible task).”

I am testing with https://search.google.com/test/rich-results as suggested by Shivbhadrasinh on that page. Shivbhadrasinh says “After checking rich snippet result you can fix this error while adding review element tag with specific product page or you can simply remove schema product markup from specific page it won’t hurt your site’s SEO.” Does this solution have to be applied one at a time to all the product pages? That that is not practical for a site with thousands of products. Is there a fast solution to this problem? The Remove Snippet Data option in Rank Math does not work for me. Help please!

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

Could you please share the product category URL so we can check?

Meanwhile, please note that Google recommends disabling the schema to your product archive like shop and category pages.

The Product Schema is only for the actual product, and not for anything else. You can check this link for more information:
    https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/product#guidelines

    Looking forward to helping you.

Thank you Reinelle. I am less concerned about this issue now. The reson why I am evaluating Rank Math instead of Yoast is that Bing refuses to index pages on hamiltone.co.uk and I have tried everything I can think of to fix this but nothing works. I have no problem with Google for hamiltone.co.uk but Bing Webmaster Tools only tells me “The inspected URL is known to Bing but has some issues which are preventing indexation. We recommend you to follow Bing Webmaster Guidelines to increase your chances of indexation.” I have looked at Bing Webmaster Guidelines but I cannot find any solution there that I can understand. Do you have any ideas please?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

I’ve checked your site on Google, and your URLs are indeed already indexed there. Also, your sitemaps and robots.txt are working fine.

If a URL is on Google, there is technically no reason for it to not be included in Bing or other search engines, unless they have some reason to not index a page like DMCA, copyright content, nulled content, copied content, etc. which you can check in Webmaster Guidelines set by Bing.

In this case, you can get in touch with the Bing team to know the exact reason as from checking the page’s source code, there are no apparent issues.

    Looking forward to helping you.
