Can’t update settings on a multisite subsite (code solution included)

    Hi Rank Math

    We are using Rank Math and Rank Math Pro on several WordPress multisites installations. One with domain mapping and several without.

    We have found, that on subsites of a multisite network, you can’t save the settings into the options database. That is because of the check that are done i the file “CMB2_Hookup.php on line 945 in the function “can_save”.

    If we delete this check “&& !(is_multisite() && ms_is_switched()”, when everything will work just fine, and we can now save the Rank Math settings on subsites.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

    You will need to install the plugin on the Network Admin and only activate the plugin on specific subsites. https://rankmath.com/kb/installing-rank-math-on-a-multisite-environment/

    If you have activated it on the Network Admin, please deactivate it on the network and then activate it on the subsites.
