    When rankmath created a new sitemap, we submitted to GSC and changed our robots.txt in the rankmath plug in to reflect the new sitemap address. It is correct in rankmath, but when you search easternshorehvac.com/robots.com, the old sitemap is what comes up in search.

    I have cleared the cache in wordpress.

    What can I do to have them match…I want the sitemap in rankmath—that was generated by rankmath to be what i showing in search results or the URL: easternshorehvac.com/robots.txt

    We’ve checked your robots.txt, and indeed it is showing a different sitemap URL.

    For troubleshooting, please ensure that you don’t have a static robots.txt in your root directory so Rank Math can generate the correct URL of your sitemap:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/cant-edit-robots-txt/#num-1-presence-of-a-physical-file
