    Hi there,

My website title is added to the all pages SEO titles (in Google search engine), even though my settings are set to not show it.

The website name is WordPress kotisivut yritykselle. Shorten version is WPKY. I removed the long website title %sitename% from pages and posts settings, and added – WPKY instead, but site title still comes up after Page title and – WPKY (%sitename%) in search engines.

Please see images in the sensitive data as reference. I used following guide to check everything: https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/

    Please help me fix this.
    Kind regards,
    Raido

  • Hello,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

Please note that Google may choose not to use the title you have set or sometimes try to adjust the title according to the search intent.

Google may choose to display a different meta title for search query results and Google may sometimes ignore the custom metadata you have set and instead display something from the page’s content that better matches the search intent.

Here’s an article you can also check for reference:

I hope that helps and we are here should you have any follow-up questions.

    Thank you.
