Could you please confirm if you mean automatically using your post excerpt as a meta description? Or vice versa?
We have asked since the %excerpt% variable shows the post excerpt as a priority to your meta description.
If that is missing from your posts, then it fetches the first 160 characters from its content:

If you meant to insert the generated meta description into the excerpt field of the post, at the moment, it is not possible.
You would need to create a WordPress shortcode that retrieves the data from our meta description and render the value there.
