Rel Canonical on other sites?

Hi guys, I’m using and loving rankmath on all my sites, thanks for the great work!

I have one question about the rel-canonical option included inside the editing-post page. I’m launching a new website and I want to republish some articles I’ve written on my blog but also, I want to tell google that the ORIGINAL publication should be attributed to my main blog, I know this is done by adding the Rel-Canonical tag to the post, my question is:

Is this what I should do?

In the NEW website, republish the blog-post and then add in the rel-canonical the URL of the ORIGINAL article on my main blog?

Would that work? I want to send some site-juice to my main blog, but I need to be republishing some of this reviews on my new webpage.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

You should add as canonical the URL you want to receive the “ranking juice”. So if you want to publish those posts in your new website but keep as “original” the ones in your main blog, you should add a canonical URL in your new website pointing to the post in the main blog.

You can read more about it here: https://moz.com/blog/rel-canonical

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
