Didn’t Find Post in Google Search through Keyword?

I’m familiar with the techniques for optimizing post rankings in Google search results, but I’ve been encountering an issue lately. Over the past few days, I’ve been unable to locate my posts using specific keywords in Google search. I’ve attempted this with multiple posts, but none of them are appearing in the search results when using keywords. Strangely, when I use the “site:example.com” operator, all of my posts show up.

It’s worth noting that the keywords I’m using are not highly competitive, so I’m confident that anyone should be able to find my content in Google search results if they publish similar content. However, my posts simply do not seem to be appearing in the search results when using keywords.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

It sounds like you’re facing a situation where your posts are not showing up in Google search results for specific keywords, even though they are indexed as you have explained. This issue could be due to various factors that affect how Google ranks and displays content in search results. Here are a few possible explanations and steps you can take to address the issue:

    1. Content Quality and Relevance: Google’s algorithms prioritize content that is high-quality, relevant, and provides value to users. Ensure that your content is well-written, comprehensive, and directly addresses the keywords you’re targeting. It’s not just about using the keywords, but also about providing valuable information that matches user intent.

    2. Competition by Backlinks: Even if your chosen keywords are not highly competitive, other websites might still have stronger backlink profiles, which can influence search rankings. Building high-quality backlinks to your content can improve its visibility in search results.

    3. Technical SEO: Technical issues with your website, such as slow loading times, mobile-friendliness, and schema markup, can affect how well your content ranks. Make sure your website is optimized for technical SEO best practices.

    4. Google Algorithm Updates: Google’s search algorithms are constantly evolving. Your content might have been affected by recent algorithm updates that changed the way content is ranked. Staying up to date with SEO trends and adapting your strategies accordingly is important.

Please refer to this guide to address that:

    5. Localized Results: If you’re searching from a specific location, Google might be displaying localized results. Check if your content is ranking well for users in different geographic locations.

    6. Personalization: Google search results can be personalized based on a user’s search history, location, and other factors. Try searching in an incognito or private browsing window to see if your content appears.

SEO can be complex, and it’s not uncommon for fluctuations in rankings to occur. If the issue persists, you can conduct a major SEO audit on your website or the affected post: https://rankmath.com/blog/seo-audit/

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need my assistance with anything else.
