These are not necessarily a cause for concern, as long as they are not affecting your site’s performance, security, or SEO. However, if you want to reduce the number of irrelevant links in your 404 monitor, you can try the following steps:
- Enable the “Advanced Mode” in Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor. This will give you more options to filter and manage the 404 errors. Advanced mode creates detailed logs including additional information such as the Referer URL.
- Exclude certain URLs or patterns from being recorded by the 404 monitor. You can do this by adding them to the “Exclude Paths” field in Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor. For example, if you want to exclude all URLs that contain “facebook”, you can add “/facebook/” (without quotes) to the field.
- Delete or redirect the irrelevant links from the 404 monitor. You can do this by selecting the links and choosing the appropriate action from the bulk edit menu.
