    Rank Math free

    Hi,

I was hoping for some advice here. Im using the free version of rank math on my site is https://www.rightroaddigital.com/ but for some reason if I type in right road digital or Right Road Digital my site does not show in google search results.

If I type rightroaddigital or rightroad digital it shows as the top result but not if I space out every letter.

Im certain I am doing something wrong but Im not sure what.

Otherwise I am enjoying using the plugin. I cant afford to pay for the premium version as I am not working right now but once I can I will.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Long tail or non-long tail keywords, the rankings will still depend on how competitive the keyword is and how effective your content is for Google to rank it on the SERP as Google treats them both as unique queries.

Keywords have higher search volume than key phrases but key phrases drive more specific traffic to your site. Here is a guide that will help you understand the difference between keywords and keyphrases: https://www.semrush.com/blog/keywords-key-phrases-keyword-phrases-is-there-a-difference/

Also, please note that ranking on Google depends on so much more than just your on-page optimization. You could have the perfect article and still struggle to break the top 10 in SERPs. Here are some of the factors Google considers when ranking you:

    1. Your website’s authority
    2. Your content’s quality and how better it is than the other article currently ranking.
    3. How competitive the keyword is.
    4. How many backlinks you have and if they are better than what the other guys ranking for that keyword have.
    5. Your website’s crawlability.
    6. Frequency of new content and content updates.
    7. So much more that there is a dedicated blog post on it by Brian Dean:

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

    Hey Reinelle,

Thanks for your response, You are absolutely correct there is so much more to SEO than what I have here but really Im just looking for an idea of where Im going wrong with the we website/company name. If you take a look at the screenshot below

when I search “rightroad digital” my site is right at the top of the results

    https://imgur.com/szkbnDd

but when I search “right road digital” or even “Right Road Digital” which is right there in the title it doesn’t show in the search listings (I went 9 pages back and its not there)

    https://imgur.com/Or0aTrW

I do understand that some sites may have better SEO than I do but I would have through that if I searched the first 3 words in the title my site would show somewhere in the results.

Im certain I am doing something wrong with SEO but if you could advise on maybe something more specific to this that would be awesome.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Thank you for your detailed explanation and for sharing the screenshots.

I completely understand your concern, and it’s not uncommon for slight variations in keywords to lead to different search results.

It does look like Google Search has acknowledged the site as one of the keyword holders for “right road digital”:
    https://prnt.sc/s__UKWg92TVg

However, there is a big chance that your website still needs to rank correctly, as it looks like you have fellow competitors with similar keywords set on their websites.

As seen on this test here:
    https://prnt.sc/3W6Eac_nNVq9

So since the “Right Road Digital” keyword is more of a generic keyword, some of your competitors have ranked well for that keyword.

Meanwhile, “RightRoad Digital” or “RightRoadDigital” is more closely directed to your site and has less traffic.

Your website is first if a user searches for those keywords.

Here are some specific steps that may further assist you:
