Change website pages and posts to www canonical

    Hello,

I need help changing ALL my web pages and posts *back to* canonical www. Currently, they are https://psychicsophie.com, which I do not want.

As mentioned, they were www prior to getting Rank Math. At the time, I didn’t realize what the differences were or the importance of keeping them as www.

What steps do I need to take to do this? How/when would my sitemap change afterwards? Do I have to initiate the sitemap change, or does Rank Math do it automatically?

Any other helpful info is appreciated.

    Thank you!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

First, you may need to change the version of your site on your WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General, and make sure that the “WordPress Address” and “Site Address” have the same setup with WWW.

Then, you can follow the steps in our guide here to redirect the non-www versions of your site:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-redirect-non-www-urls-to-www/

You may also get in touch with your web host to properly add the redirect to your .htaccess file.

Once done, your sitemaps and canonical URLs will show the WWW as well.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.
