You were looking for the problem in the wrong place. You are correct, pages and posts are updating correctly. I need you to go to “Appearance” then “Widgets” and then try to edit the “Right Sidebar”. That’s what won’t update.

This seems to be an edge case because we tried reproducing the issue and most of us is not able to reproduce it.

An FTP is also known as File Transfer Protocol. It is a network protocol for transmitting files between computers over Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) connections.
But basically, this is where your site is stored as well as modified. If you’re unsure of your FTP credentials, you can ask your hosting regarding this and they should be able to help you get the needed credentials.
