“Keywords are missing” on multiple sites

    Hi there,

    We have at least 3 sites (the only ones we’ve checked so far) that have this issue.

    It’s in the schema section of the Rank Math info in the head but there’s no <meta> tag for keywords. Keywords are definitely entered and save / update fine.

    URLs whitelisted in Cloudflare / Wordfence where relevant as per this article (https://rankmath.com/kb/meta-data-not-saving/) however the issue is not with saving/updating them, it’s that they don’t seem to be applied to the site code.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    If you’re checking your page’s source code for the meta keywords, then you won’t find any since Rank Math does not include the meta keywords tag in the source code.

    Google has stopped supporting the keywords meta tag because websites were exploiting it to manipulate search engines and create more organic traffic. This means that Google does not consider the keywords meta tag a web page ranking signal, and using it will not affect your search engine rankings.

    However, you can still achieve that using Rank Math and clear the error in the tool you’re using by applying this filter on your site:
