Unable to update Permalink for Author account

I am unable to update the Permalink for my author page. It is showing a:https://reerin.com/author/E****************@g******** and I want it to me https://reerin.com/author/erin-hybart.

I have tried to update it on the snippet editor and the changes wont be reflected.

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Please note that the changes made to the author/user slug in the meta box will not work because WordPress doesn’t allow changing the author slug by default.

However, you can achieve this by using a plugin that specifically addresses that:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/edit-author-slug/
