Problem with 301 and 410 redirects on RankMath

    Problem Description:

For the past two days, 301 and 410 redirects on my website are not being picked up by RankMath. Despite having configured the redirects correctly, RankMath seems to ignore them completely. I have carefully checked RankMath’s settings and ensured that the redirects are correctly implemented in the .htaccess file. However, the problem persists.

    Actions performed:

I configured the 301 and 410 redirects in the RankMath plugin.
I checked the RankMath settings to make sure the redirects are enabled.
I checked the .htaccess file to make sure the redirects are correctly implemented.
    Expected results:
I expect RankMath to properly take into account the 301 and 410 redirects I have configured, ensuring that old URLs are redirected to new URLs or return a 410 status code when requested.

    Additional information:

    Website: https://www.bormioski.eu/.
    SEO plugin used: RankMath
    Plugin version: 1.0.118
    Example of a failed redirect: https://www.bormioski.eu/blog/eventi/df-snow-village-test-tavole-2/ -> https://www.bormioski.eu/blog/eventi/df-snow-village/ (301)

Please look into this issue as soon as possible and provide me with a solution. I appreciate your support in resolving this issue and properly handling redirects on my website.

Thank you for your attention and I look forward to your response.

    Sincerely,
    Daniel

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve checked the URL, and indeed it is not redirecting properly.

For initial troubleshooting, please ensure that you have this redirect structure created:

    Source: blog/eventi/df-snow-village-test-tavole-2/
    Type: Exact
    Destination: https://www.bormioski.eu/blog/eventi/df-snow-village/

Then, clear your website’s cache and check if the redirect is working fine.

If the issue still persists, assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), the redirects could be caused by conflicting plugin/theme on your site.

You can check if those links are redirecting while only Rank Math is enabled.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

Let us know how this goes.

    Thank you.
