Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
The root folder means the main folder, the one where WordPress is installed (where you have the folders /wp-content/, /wp-includes/ and so on…).
There you should have a robots.txt and since Rank Math uses a virtual one, you should delete that file (or you could copy its content, delete the file and paste its content in the Rank Math editor after that, so you have the same robots.txt but in Rank Math).
