  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The URL you’ve shared is actually a ticket from the PRO section and that’s why you’re not able to access this URL. For privacy reasons, the tickets in the PRO section are only visible to our team and to the person that has initiated the topic.

Back to the issue, please note that an SEO plugin alone cannot bring down or bring up the traffic in a day (or even a few days) unless incorrect Meta Tags are used by setting up the plugin improperly. That’s why we have a detailed tutorial on that: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-setup/

Also, Google brings a new algorithmic update several times a month and the chances are great that your website got hit by that. We have a full guide on that: https://rankmath.com/blog/google-algorithm-update-recovery/

You can also check your Google Search Console coverage section to determine any issues reported on your site: https://support.artlogic.net/hc/en-gb/articles/360016851260-Google-Search-Console-errors-and-coverage-issues

You can share the error message or take a screenshot using this tool and add the link here so we can check as well.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

Hi – We appear to have a new issue that when we try an access some of the RankMath settings options it takes us to a 404 page. Have you encountered this before and do you know how to resolve?

    Thanks

    Rob

    Hello,

We’ve checked the settings in the latest version of Rank Math, but it seems to be working fine. Could you please share the specific settings that are going on a 404 page?

Meanwhile, please ensure that the user access has enough capabilities to access the Rank Math options/settings.

Here’s a link for more information about the Role Manager feature:

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hi

On the last point of my last message I have discovered the issue with that – down to the taxonomy of the category pages being different from what they were in yoast and those two pages then conflicting with categories of the same url.

Unfortunately not yet found a resolution to the 404 issue.

    Thanks

    Rob

    Hello,

Please take a backup of your .htaccess file and replace it with the default WordPress .htaccess file. You can get the file here: https://wordpress.org/support/article/htaccess/

You can follow this guide to edit the .htaccess file:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/edit-htaccess/

After that, check if you are still experiencing 404 issues with your settings pages.

If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
