Changing Analytics account name - Support

Good afternoon guys,

I have recently rebranded and have successfully updated all required records to match my new domain name. One thing that I don’t know how to change is the Account Name in the Analytics section. The Search Console in as my correct domain name, but the section underneath is still showing my old domain name. Next to that, the Property dropdown does have my new domain name.

Please could you advise if/how I can change this?

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Could you please take a screenshot of the Analytics dropdown section in Rank Math so we can check as well? You can share the generated link by uploading the screenshot using this tool.

Meanwhile, please try reconnecting your website to your Google Account (if not yet) and check if the dropdown data are already updated. Please also clear your website’s cache for troubleshooting.

Hello,

Could you please confirm if you have already reconnected your website to your Google account?

If it’s still appearing as the incorrect name, let’s try reconnecting the Google service again in the plugin for initial troubleshooting. This time, please remove the current permissions first here: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

Then, reconnect the account inside Rank Math by clicking here and ensure that you approve all the permission notices that show up:

WP Dashboard >> Rank Math >> General Settings >> Analytics tab, and click the Reconnect link

Allow all the permissions on the next screen

Hi Reinelle,

Thank you for the further information. Yes, I had already tried reconnected my account. But have found the issue, I had to log into my GA account (not my Google business account as I had done) and from there I could edit my business name. So it now shows correctly in the Analytics account in Rank Math 🙂
