GTIN for Google Free Listing

    Hi,
I am trying to add my products to Google Free Listing. Google Merchant Center disapproves my products for the reason of missing GTIN.

I don’t have GTIN code for my products and I know Google allows GTIN exemption. But have no idea how to set up manually.
Can your Rank Math Pro solve this for me: List my products on Google free listing without GTIN code?

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

If your products do not have a GTIN you can submit a Manufacturer Part Number (MPN). Google merchant center requires that you assign every product a unique identifier through MPN or GTIN. If you do not have MPNs you’ll need to create them by following our guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/gtin-mpn-woocommerce/

Google also allows having brand name as an alternative. These are not mandatory but you’ll get warnings and the performance may be limited by Google. But still, your products will remain eligible to serve.

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.

    Hi Md. Sakib Khandaker,

Thanks for your prompt reply. But I don’t have an MPN for my products either.
We are selling customized digital products, is there any way that I can ask for an exemption?

    Hello,

If you don’t have a GTIN/MPN, our plugin will not add it to the Schema. You can set the identifier_exist variable as False in the product feed to get the GTIN exemption and get your products listed: https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/6324478?hl=en

Hope that helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.
