Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
We’ve checked your sitemap but didn’t find any issue there. In this case, please try to remove all the sitemaps from your GSC and try to submit the following sitemap URL:
https://www.kedtech.biz/?sitemap=1
https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/#rename-the-sitemap
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Any solution on this problem?
I had removed all the sitemaps and submit https://www.kedtech.biz/?sitemap=1, but only /product_cat-sitemap.xml is listed.

https://imgur.com/a/Ui2wUAQHello,
Apologies for the delay as this ticket seems to have been stuck in our drafts section for some reason.
From your initial screenshot, it seems that you have submitted your main sitemap and sub-sitemaps. You can submit the /sitemap_index.xml only:
https://rankmath.com/kb/submit-sitemap-to-google/However, your URLs are already indexed upon using the
site:
operatorYou may need to give Google some time to crawl your site and update the Last read column on those inner/sub-sitemaps.
Also, each time Google uses a sitemap to find a URL, the count of the Discovered URLs increases by one. When the count of the Discovered URLs is zero or does not match your actual sitemap, it means Google didn’t use the sitemap to find the URLs. It mostly happens when you have good internal linking or used the Instant Indexing plugin.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Hi,
I don’t think that Google can read the inner/sub-sitemaps that is not listed on GSC because I had submitted the /sitemap_index.xml last month and the /sitemap_index.xml only shown product_cat-sitemap.xml after 1 month.
As for this screenshot ( https://imgur.com/pfFEQIQ ), I just want to show the inner/sub-sitemaps when submitted individually, you can see that only /product_cat-sitemap.xml status show “Success”, other inner/sub-sitemaps that is not listed in /sitemap_index.xml show “Couldn’t fetch”.
And for other links, I don’t think Google index through /sitemap_index.xml because most of the links I’m using the GSC inspection tool to request index manually and the instant indexing from the plugin.
When I submit other website /sitemap_index.xml. GSC show all the inner/sub-sitemaps instantly.
Other website’s sitemap on GSCHello,
Please follow the steps below:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/3. Add this code to your website:
add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');
You may refer to this guide on how to add filters to your website: https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/
After that, remove all sitemaps from your Google Search Console and resubmit only the primary one (
https://yourdomain.com/sitemap_index.xml
)If the issue persists, let us know here.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hi,
Still the same, I have follow all the steps but only /product_cat-sitemap.xml is showing. I also have reinstall the plugin.
I have tested it using Google url inspection tool and this is the result for other inner sitemaps. I also check the server log nothing is getting blocked. when I added the inner sitemap, server log also show status 200.
Crawled as
Google Inspection Tool smartphone
Crawl allowed?
Yes
Page fetch
Successful
Indexing allowed?
error
No: ‘noindex’ detected in ‘X-Robots-Tag’ http headerIs this the bug?
Hello,
Since the URL inspection is showing that the page fetch is successful, there should be no issues with the fetching in the sitemap section. And sitemaps are not supposed to be indexed in the SERPs and that’s why they are set to Noindex. There is nothing to be worried about that.
Please try resubmitting the sub-sitemaps directly instead of the main sitemap and wait for Google to crawl them. If the issue persists, then please click on a sitemap in the sitemap section of the GSC account and share the screenshot of the detailed error so we can check this further.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hi,
This is what I get when upload sub-sitemaps.

https://imgur.com/a/86FgeaH Sitemap listHello,
Your sitemaps are working and validating fine and there is no issue with them.
Also, not all sitemaps are processed by Google. Not necessarily because there is something wrong with the sitemap.
Even a perfect sitemap may not be processed by Google.
Most of the time it’s simply still sitting in the queue waiting for processing. Remember Google are processing millions of sitemap daily, sometimes it takes time to get to yours. But for whatever reason, Google simply never gets around to some sitemaps. It just doesn’t think it is worth it.
And Search Console sometimes shows ‘Pending’ as ‘couldn’t fetch’ incorrectly. You can check the replies of Google experts for the Couldn’t Fetch(especially for the TLDs except for .com) issues on the following threads:
https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/29055233/missing-xml-sitemap-data-in-google-search-console-for-tld-domain?hl=en
https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/31835653/sitemap-couldn-t-fetch-sitemap-couldn-t-be-read-by-google-search-console?hl=enYou can try using a different sitemap plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/xml-sitemap-generator-for-google/ to generate the sitemap and see if Google is able to read them. Please make sure to disable the Sitemap module of our plugin in WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard.
Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
