Problems with posting my blog posts on Facebook

I am currently having problems posting my blog posts (www.KanadaSpezialist.com) on Facebook in such a way that the URL is automatically connected in the image. I always get an error message from FB (warnings that should be fixed – Derived Property – The og:image property should be specified explicitly, even if a value can be derived from other tags.)
, but I haven’t figured out how to fix it yet. So you can’t click on the image to go to the website, so there is only the URL to click on and the image is separate.

I tried to solve the problem with your support sites but couldn’t understand it.

Can you please help me to find a solution?

    Best regards

    Gary

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

This issue occurs since the Rank Math metadata including the og:image tag is being pushed way too down. Here’s a screencast for your reference: https://i.rankmath.com/v/Cq7ASi

Facebook and other social networks will only look for Open Graph tags in the first 50 KB of your page’s source.

If you are using inline CSS, the og:image will not be seen by Facebook. Also if you have minification on and it is set to be aggressive then also it might break the Open Graph tags.

You can check this link for more information:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/open-graph-image-not-displaying/#num-4-5-ogimage-found-towards-the-end-of-source-code

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Unfortunately that doesn’t work. The WP dashboard looks different on mine than your example. I can’t find this setting: “WordPress Dashboard > Performance > Browser Cache”.
Can you please help me otherwise?

    Best regards
    Gary

    Hello,

We’ve mentioned in the KB that the WordPress Dashboard > Performance > Browser Cache > HTTP (gzip) compression option is for the W3 Total Cache plugin.

However, it looks like you’re using Jetpack Boost plugin for minification. In this case, you can try to disable the Optimize Critical CSS Loading option from WordPress Dashboard > Jetpact > Boost. After that, please clear your website cache and check the URL again with the Facebook Sharing Debugger tool.

You can also get in touch with Jetpack Boost plugin support and see if they are able to move your inline CSS file.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
