    Hello team,

    I have a site name problemsolvingcode.com and when I try to submit the sitemap to Google. it gets read successfully. but the inner sitemap is not discoverd by the Google console.

    for example. when I submit “sitemap_index.xml” I get a success message, but the inside sitemap is not read such as “post-sitemap.xml” and “page-sitemap.xml”. And inside the discover pages, I am getting 129 pages as discovered. but in reality, I have less.

    Even if I add a new post, the count remains the same and the last crawled date remain the same. I am facing this issue for a long time.

    For your information, I once deleted the inside sitemap i.e. “post-sitemap.xml” from that time, and I am facing this issue. now, if I submit, sitemap_index.xml, it not reading post and page sitemap present in it.

    Let me know the possible solution for the above problem

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    For initial troubleshooting, please follow these steps to flush your sitemap cache:

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

    Then remove your sitemap and resubmit it to your Google Search Console as you have done in the video screencast.

    Once done, give Google some time to recrawl your sitemaps. You can monitor the “Last read/crawl date” column in the sitemap index as it will update the date when Google crawls your sitemap.
