    Hi Rankmath team,

I would need some help or guide about adding secondary taxonomy in breadcrumbs, which the secondary taxonomy will be placed after the primary taxonomy.

    For Example
Home > CPT > Taxonomy (Primary) > Taxonomy (Secondary) > Post

Currently my breadcrumbs only have Taxonomy (Primary), unable to add additional taxonomy into the breadcrumbs.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve checked the Award Winners Post type, and its primary taxonomy is still not set in Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Award Winners > Primary Taxonomy.

However, I’ve already set it to Categories, and the breadcrumbs are now showing the selected taxonomy. Please check and let us know if the breadcrumbs are now showing fine.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Yes Categories is the Primary category, but I also would like to include a secondary category which is Year Won right after category, which the breadcrumb will be:

Home > Award Winners (CPT) > Categories (Primary Taxonomy) > Year Won (Secondary Taxonomy) > Post Name

May i know how can I include the secondary taxonomy in?.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

I’ve checked your site structure, and there are multiple taxonomies selected where you wanted to show the breadcrumbs.

This is a unique setup that the default Rank Math breadcrumbs were not designed for as it shows a hierarchal structure (categories and child/sub-categories), in such a case you’d need to create a custom filter to modify the breadcrumbs to show the other taxonomies:

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.
