    Hello Rank Math Team,

    Recently, I am dealing with the following issue and error message in WordPress:

    Please keep only one XML sitemap plugin active, otherwise you may lose your rankings and traffic. Click here to disable it.

    I don’t want to disable Rank Math and I just found some fixes where you can deactivate the Standard WordPress Sitemap by code or another Plugin.

    Isn’t there any setting to fix this issue with Rank Math?

    Thank you for your query, and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

    The default sitemap generated by WordPress is typically found at example.com/wp-sitemap.xml.

    However, when you install and activate Rank Math, it generates its sitemap at example.com/sitemap_index.xml.

    To ensure a smooth transition and avoid conflicts, Rank Math automatically creates a 301 redirect from the default WordPress sitemap URL to the new Rank Math sitemap URL.

    The issue you are facing could be due to a few reasons:

    1 . A conflict with another plugin or your current theme.
    2 . A misconfiguration in your server settings.
    3 . The presence of another active plugin that is also generating a sitemap.

    Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), lets check for a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    If the issue persists, please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    Once done, please add the login details in the sensitive data section.

    Just added the login data in the sesitive section!

    Hello,

    You forgot to include the password for the user you created for us and we cannot reset the password for that email address.

    Please include that information in the sensitive data section so we can check and advise further.

    I tried with the username s******@r*********** , rank mathsupport and rankmathsupport and each time I got “incorrect username and password”.

    sorry super strange, that the logins doesn’t work.
    I followed your advice and madee a temproary login for you, which I added to the sensitive data field.

    The problem is resolved.

    The problem was by clearing the Rank Math transients by going to Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > Remove transients.
