Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math.
The page link that you are getting emails from Google for is the search result page of your site. It is not a regular page or post, but a dynamic page that is generated when someone searches for something on your site.
By default, Rank Math sets these search result pages to noindex, which means they will not be indexed by Google or other search engines. This is because these pages do not have any unique or valuable content and can cause duplicate content issues. You can check this setting under WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Misc. Pages > Noindex Search Results.
However, sometimes Google may still try to crawl and index these pages, especially if they are linked from somewhere else. This can cause the page indexing issue that you are getting emails for.
This is not really an issue, but to fix it, you need to do two things:
- Remove any links to these search result pages from your site or other sites. You can use the URL Inspection tool in Google Search Console to see where these pages are linked from and remove them (https://rankmath.com/kb/error-submitted-url-marked-noindex/).
- Resubmit your sitemap to Google Search Console and request Google to re-crawl your site. This will help Google update its index and remove the noindexed pages from its results.
We hope this helps you resolve the issue. If you have any other questions or concerns, please let us know. We’re always here for you.
Thank you for using Rank Math.
