  • Hello,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

It is a pretty common thing with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results and we even have a KB dedicated to this problem and a few solutions we recommend:

    https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/

Please check the KB and you will understand the reasons Google does this.

Google has made some changes to their algorithm which automatically changes the titles, discarding the one you have set in your SEO title meta tag. This happens regardless of the SEO plugin you are using. We have covered this Google update here:

    https://rankmath.com/google-update/google-title-rewrite-update/

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

I understand what you mean, but, my blog posts where all showing the normal way on search before. I suspect it should be from my rank math plugin setup.

I don’t want my site to show as archive page but as normal post title

    Hello,

Please share some of the URLs that are now showing with the archive title on SERPs and they weren’t previously so we can check the same.

    Thank you.

Most of my articles don’t even show up on search. When i search for a particular keyword, what appears on Google is a different article i have written on my blog.

    Hello,

You mentioned that your posts were showing normally before and they show as an archive, so to see this change is because they are still indexed.

If you are having issues getting your website indexed, that’s a completely different issue.

There are a few things you must check for in order to see why the posts aren’t getting indexed.

    1. Make sure the post is not selected as ‘noindex’ in WP > Posts > Your Post > Advanced Tab in Rank Math.

    Screenshot for reference:
    Individual Post Advanced Tab

    2. Ensure that the noindex is not selected for Global or Posts meta:

    Noindex Settings

    3. Check the sitemap settings and check if the posts are setup to be included in the sitemaps:

    Post Settings

Please note that it is completely upto Google if they want to index or not index your website. So, if you haven’t willingly or accidentally made your posts noindex and Google still isn’t indexing your page – it means that either Google doesn’t want to index or hasn’t crawled your page yet because it hasn’t allocated that much crawl budget to your website.

Please check this website for more details.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

Please on my link suggestions for titles, should i use the TITLES or FOCUS KEYWORDS option.

I mean Under title and meta

    Hello,

That depends on personal preference and what suits your workflow better. You can see the difference between the two explained here: https://rankmath.com/kb/pillar-content-internal-linking/#link-suggestion-titles

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

The URLs you shared are already indexed and are showing with the correct title as you can see here:
    Title

The fact that you cannot find them for the focus keyword you want it just means that the optimization is not good enough for that and you should consider performing some changes to optimization and even include some backlinks to the page.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
