Date Archives Critical Errors with PHP8+

    Recently moved a site to Rank Math, and everything was working great, with the exception of Date Archives. Any time I would try to access the date archives, WordPress would show a critical error page.

    Date Archives was enabled in RM.

    When I disabled RM, date archives worked good. Something about RM was causing this error.

    Enabled the WP debug log, and kept getting this fatal error for the date archive pages — “/wp-content/plugins/seo-by-rank-math/includes/frontend/class-breadcrumbs.php on line 428”

    Tried enabling and disabling Breadcrumbs within the RM settings, but that did not work.

    The site was running PHP 8.2 when these problems happened.

    Changed to PHP 8.0 and same problems.

    Changed to PHP 7.4 and now everything works good.

    The RM Date Archives and Breadcrumbs needs to be updated for PHP 8.0+ please.

    Running WP 6.2 if it matters.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

    That means that the archive formats you have for the breadcrumbs are incorrect. Please make sure to head over to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Breadcrumbs and set the Archive Format to the following:

    
Archives for %s

    Changed the Archive Format and the Search Results Format, and no more errors on PHP 8.2
