Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.
It’s possible to lose SEO during a website migration if it is not done correctly, it’s really important that you speak to your hosting provider and plan the migration carefully.
If your website is offline during the migration, you may experience a temporary loss of traffic, it’s important to minimize downtime as much as possible, Google might try to crawl your website during the migration and if it is not available, you will have to wait for Google bot to try to recrawl your website again.
In general, Google and other search engines expect that websites are online as much as possible to maximize search engine visibility, however, there isn’t a specific percentage of uptime that directly impacts SEO, keep in mind that content quality and user experience are more important factors for search engine rankings.
I hope that clears all your doubts.

Let me know how it goes.
Looking forward to helping you.

So in summary, it doesn’t affect SEO that much, and if it does, it doesn’t hurt SEO in the long run?
Can I basically migrate my website without my SEO suffering?

		Hello,
Yes, you can safely migrate the website to a new hosting company. These days DNS migration takes less time so there won’t be much affect on SEO also, doesn’t have much affect on SEO in long run.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Thank you
