After WP migration, will RankMath redirects update target FQDN?

    Rank Math free

    Hello,
I am using RankMath on a WordPress site, that is being developed locally on https://mysiteaddress.test, there will be a large number of redirects. Your documentation states the redirect target URLs being converted to FQDNs, which brings me to my question, after I deploy the page on production URL https://mysiteadress.com, will the redirect targets be updated automatically or will it point to development environment, thus resulting in major defect and traffic loss?
Thank you for your time and reply.

    Best regards,
    Tomáš Biheler

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

Unfortunately, the destination URLs in the redirection feature of Rank Math would not update after pushing your site to production.

In this case, you may need to update them manually as they will not be converted to your actual domain name. Here’s a guide you can follow for modifying them in bulk:

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.
