Title and meta description not displaying on social media

    Greetings,

I set the Title and meta description for social media for the home page (or any page) but social media doesn’t recognize the change. It still shows the default title (page title) and meta description it gets from the site.

Interestingly it DOES show title and meta description I set when sending a link through whatsapp but only on the phone (not the desktop version).

I searched and googled the problem but can’t find a solution. What am I doing wrong?

    Kind regards,
    Martin

Actually, I have this problem on multiple sites.

The site I’m most concerned about right now is…
    https://bits-life.style/

    I appreciate your help.

    Hello,

I checked your site and I can see that duplicate Open Graph tags are appearing on your website.

It seems like one of the plugins or the theme you are using is generating those duplicate og meta tags.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

If the title and meta description of your webpage are not appearing on social media platforms, it could be due to several reasons. Here are a few possible solutions:

Check if the title and meta description have been added to the page’s HTML code in the head section.
Ensure that the title and meta description meet the character limit set by the social media platform.
Verify that the Open Graph (OG) tags are implemented correctly in the head section of the HTML code. OG tags are used to provide social media platforms with information about your page, including the title, description, and image.
Clear the cache of the social media platform to force it to fetch the latest version of the page.
If none of these solutions work, you may want to try using a social media debugger tool to identify any issues with the OG tags or other metadata.
