    Hi Team,

I am a Yoast premium customer at the moment and was planning to switch to https://plugin.squirrly.co and heard about you guys so thought to explore. I found that you guys have really cool features so I plan to switch to you guys from Yoast. Here are some of the concerns.

    1. I am having a website with around 60 pages and around 50 blogs which has Yoast installed

    2. The website is old and needed redesign, so right now my team is building a new website in WordPress (Avada) with more pages and blogs. This site is on the development server

    3. In general even if it’s not any plugin, I am a bit afraid of the migration process due to possible affects on SEO but with an idea to change the SEO plugin, it becomes more difficult.

Can you guys suggest the best way I can migrate?

So, a new website + New Plugin

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the inconvenience caused.

If you are migrating to a new domain then you should make sure to keep the same URL structure on the new domain and redirect your old domain to the new one once it is live. Here is a guide that can help: https://wpscholar.com/blog/redirect-old-domain-to-new-domain-via-htaccess/

You can edit the .htaccess file using our plugin: https://rankmath.com/kb/edit-htaccess/

You should also inform Google about the changes by using the Change of Address Tool of your GSC account: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9370220?hl=en

If you follow the above-mentioned steps then the migration process shouldn’t have any negative effect on the SEO of your site. And it is very easy to migrate from Yoast to Rank Math. Here is a guide to help you with the migration process: https://rankmath.com/kb/yoast-seo-migration/

All your Yoast data will be imported to our plugin to make sure that your SEO setup remains the same for the search engines and that switching the plugins doesn’t affect your site’s ranking in the SERPs.

Hope that helps. Don’t hesitate to get in touch in case you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hi Jaideep,

    Thank you for your response.

    Here are some details.

We are not changing the domain, the domain will remain same as what it is but the website will be completely new.

    1. Old pages will remain as it is and new pages will be added
    2. We have the website in 8 different languages

    Kindly suggest.

    1. Shall I install Rankmath in the old website now where I am using Yoast premium and once the new site is ready I can continue it?

That’s what I am worried about.

    Hello,

Thank you for providing additional information.

As the website is going through design overhaul on the development server, I would suggest testing Rank Math on the development server considering you’re using Avada theme. Test every feature of Yoast and Rank Math. Once satisfied deactivate the Yoast plugin.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you

Oh yes, I was reading a couple of posts and realised that RankMath is not 100% compatible with Avada. Is it Rankmath or Avada which is causing the issue?

    Hello,

We work very closely with theme developer who wants the integration to be done completely. We have list of themes which are compatible with Rank Math. You can find the list here: https://rankmath.com/compatible/themes/
