Will Rank Math auto serve sitemaps to search engines?

    Hi,
    Just changed to Rank Math from Yoast. I deleted the robots.txt in my root folder using FTP and made changes to the robots.txt from Rank Math dashboard. I wish to know if I must upload the new robots.txt to my root folder or if Rank Math will provide the sitemap to the search engines.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    You don’t need to upload robots.txt file in server. Sitemap and robots.txt are created on fly when requested by browser or bot. As you were using Yoast earlier, I would suggest deleting the old sitemap from GSC and add the one that’s created by Rank Math. Whenever you do any changes in the website and provided sitemap is not cached, the sitemap gets updated automatically when requested.
