  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

#1 Remember that Google might take some time to receive the noindex request from your website for those specific links; you will have to wait for Google to recrawl your website and receive the “noindex” request.

#2 Noindexing those URLs is a fine way to de-index them. Since those URls can be still valuable for Google to crawl. If you wish to prevent Google from crawling those URLs, you can set a rule to your robots.txt file like the below:

    Disallow: */?s=*
    Disallow: */search/*

Here’s how you can edit the robots.txt file using Rank Math:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/add-sitemaps-to-robots-txt/#num-2-2-navigate-to-edit-robots-txt

If you wish to completely remove search functionality from your site, you may follow the guide below, even though it might harm the user experience:

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.

    Hi Md,

The no index search pages been active since I setup RankMath, like 2 years ago, that’s why I added loving to the website to check if something wrong in the plugin.

I hade some issue with Analytics and one of your team login to my website and fix it, it was something within the plugin schedule.

Could you please check if there is anything wrong with the plugin.

I have already disable the search for now, maybe i reactivate it in the future

    Hello,

I’ve checked your site, and it is already set to block those search spam links.

Also, since you have already disabled the search feature of your site, you can revalidate the issue in your Google Search Console, and give Google some time to recrawl your site.

    validate

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.
