    I am trying to personalize the url of the Author page, I am changing it from the “edit snipped” inside the user editing setting. Howver once I change the url and update the profile… then when I check the snipped the url just come back to the default using the username.

    Can you please help me to undesteand why this is happening and how to fix it?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

    Rank Math doesn’t change the author slug.

    Also, WordPress doesn’t allow changing the author slug by default.

    But you can change the author slug by using a plugin I’ve shared below:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/edit-author-slug/

    Please be advised that, Rank Math only displays the default slug of the author in the Snippet Editor. It means, whenever you change the slug using the other plugin, the updated URL won’t be displayed in the Snippet Editor of Rank Math.

    But that won’t harm you any way, you’ll be able to access the author profile on the updated URL.
