Hello,

we are trying to set up a redirect from a URL “https://mydomain/old-url/old-file.pdf” to “https://mydomain/new-url/new-file.pdf”, but nothing happens, it still shows the old file.

How can we set up this redirection? Our customer needs to be able to do this themselves, therefore using htaccess is not an option. Thank you!

Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

PDF files doesn’t contains any HTML tag, hence the normal redirection set in Rank Math won’t work. Hence, due to the nature of file, redirection needs to be set in .htaccess using Redirect 301.
