  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Could you please share the affected URL so we can check as well?

Meanwhile, please note that Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and shows something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better. In this case, the best you can do is optimize your meta title and description to try and match the intent of the search/keyword.

You can refer to this guide as well:

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

Thanks for your response you can check here for example and see that all links have a very short desciption.
Also you didn’t respond to my question why all my links have a short description on SERPs? Why only a part of it that appears?
    Please type on google:
    site:digitalia.ca
    Thank you.

    Hello,

You have set the max-snippet:30 in homepage. Here 30 is character not words. Hence, Google is truncating everything after 30 characters. It’s recommended to have max-snippet:-1 Please refer to sensitive data section for reference image.

Please be advised that when we set “max-snippet:-1” : Google will choose the snippet length that it believes is most effective to help users discover your content and direct users to your site. Hence, that’s the reason why sometimes you see different meta description / tags.

You can refer to this guide as shared by my colleague:

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Thank you
