What to do when deleting pages from the website?

Since they are already deleted, they cannot be set to noindex.

The best course for deleted pages would be redirecting them to 410. This should be used when the content in question has been deleted, and no suitable replacement is available. When search engines encounter a 410 status, they also de-index the page naturally.
