    Hi,

    My website regularly publishes game review articles and currently uses a paid template that has a native in-article review box. However, the developer no longer provides updates for this template and the recent Google algorithm change that requires reviews to be more specific removes the star rating that accompanies my search results.

    My question is if I use your Product schema and enters all the necessary information about the product including the review rating, but does not select the “review location” as the review ratings will be shown via the template’s review box instead. Will Google count this as a complete schema and will rich snippet be shown?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

    Showing the review snippet on the front end is one of the requirements for Google to award rich snippets on the SERP and failing to add a review location may affect the display.

    If you however keep the in-post review box then this should count and Google should be able to display the rich snippet data.
