Focus Keywords – separate or combined?

    Hi,

    Sorry if this is obvious but I can’t find a direct explanation.

    If you have 2 separate focus keywords – eg. ‘dog’ and ‘toy’ – will this be equally as effective when someone searches ‘dog toy’ as it would be if you had the focus keyword set as ‘dog toy’?

    So if someone searches ‘dog toy’ my page wouldn’t get ranked unless I had the words together in that order.

    e.g. if my page said ‘buy a toy for your dog’ I wouldn’t gain a rank advantage.

    Do I have that right?
